OCEANIA
HUB
The deeper you go, the more it matters.
Before You Dive In
This staff guide for our Oceania Hub Staff team is not to be shared outside of it. Any staff member caught sharing this document publicly will be demoted and permanently blacklisted from the staff team.
Key Understandings
This handbook exists to help guide our staff team toward making the right decisions for our server.
It's not just a guide — every staff member is expected to follow it, to make sure our players get the best possible experience.
Questions or concerns? Contact our Owners, Co-Owner, or Manager for more information.
Staff Rules
Three domains, one standard: honest, professional, and unbiased — everywhere you represent the team.
Discord Rules
08 rules- 01 Treat everyone in an honest and respectful manner
- 02 Listen to higher-ups
- 03 Keep sensitive and private information confidential
- 04 Log all evidence and proof in the correct channels
- 05 Be professional in voice chats and tickets especially
- 06 Don't interrupt tickets — let the staff member who claimed it handle it
- 07 Stay active, both in Discord and with the staff team
- 08 Don't move players between voice calls; mute or ban when necessary
In-Game Rules
06 rules- 01 Remain unbiased and treat everyone equally
- 02 Gather as much proof as possible before creating or requesting a punishment
- 03 Prioritize staffing over playing — moderation must be happening on Gen and other core servers
- 04 Never hand out or give away Minecraft accounts with staff roles or permissions
- 05 No abuse of abilities — no spawning items, granting yourself advantages, or teleporting to kill players
- 06 Maintain respect for the community at all times — no racism, toxicity, or hate speech toward members or staff
Ticket Rules
08 rules- 01 Don't take on a ticket you're unable to handle
- 02 Ping higher staff whenever you need assistance
- 03 Don't leave tickets waiting — if it's within your skill level, take it
- 04 If you need to step away, ask another staff member to take over your ticket
- 05 Always answer tickets with respect
- 06 Close tickets left unanswered for more than 24 hours
- 07 Another staff member may only take over a ticket if the current one hasn't responded within 2 hours
- 08 Don't interrupt or interfere with tickets claimed by other staff
Partnership Rules
Growing the network the right way — with sign-off, not surprises.
- 01 Check with the Co-Owner and Owner before finding partners
- 02 Don't @everyone or @here without checking with higher-ups first
- 03 Leave partnership tickets to staff above Head Admin
- 04 You're welcome to find partnerships for our server — just notify the Co-Owner and Owners to fully partner (open a partner ticket for logs)
- 05 The Manager role may find and secure partners without prior permission
Staff Strikes
Being staff doesn't put you above anyone in the PvP scene.
Every staff member follows the same standard as regular members. Falling short of it — through abuse, toxicity, hate speech, or similar conduct — triggers the Staff Strike system. Once all strikes are used, the staff member is removed from the team. Every strike is logged and posted in #staff-updates.
Reasons a strike may be issued
There are always more reasons a strike might be issued — the standard is simple: stay professional, and keep respecting and caring for the community.
Punishment Guide
Consistency protects everyone — players and staff alike.
All staff members follow the punishment guide without question. This keeps every punishment consistent and free from accusations of unfair treatment. Ignoring this guide falls under the Staff Strike system — though mistakes happen, so there's always some room for judgement around warnings, mutes, bans, and demotions. If it's clear you aren't taking the system seriously, you will be punished accordingly.
Before issuing a punishment, always check the player's history — it leads to a more accurate, up-to-date decision. If a case falls outside this guide, contact the Manager, Co-Owner, or Owners. Players caught using hacks, cheats, or ESP should be banned under Cheating or Unfair Advantage.
Punishments are private and confidential — never release them publicly, even for friends. Staff may only discuss a punishment with the player involved, and only within their ticket.
